THERE is no other. There is only us.
Through his charitable fellowship ajaz.org, Ajaz supports organisations working to create meaningful change for children and families facing the greatest challenges.
Approach
Beginning in 2021, ajaz.org focused on charities supporting children and families in crisis, during some of the darkest days of the cost-of-living crisis, when parents faced impossible choices between feeding their children and heating their homes. The approach was guided by a simple principle: trust the people doing the work, provide resources without burden, and get out of the way.

What good giving
looks likeWhat good giving looks like
When support matters most
Many donors avoid areas like children's social care or legal aid for families without recourse to public funds. ajaz.org deliberately sought out the work others wouldn't fund.
Long-term, unrestricted funding
Multi-year commitments of unrestricted funding allowed organisations to plan with confidence, invest in core costs, innovate, and respond to emerging needs.
Study the charities, then trust them
Time was invested upfront, visiting organisations, understanding their work, meeting the teams. Once committed, reporting requirements were kept light.
Backing younger charities
ajaz.org deliberately backed smaller, newer organisations, providing the credibility and track record that unlocked support from other funders.
What good giving looks like
After several years of working closely with charity leaders, several principles emerged:
Impact
Since 2021, ajaz.org has provided significant support to organisations working across bereavement, poverty, mental health, domestic abuse, and access to justice.
Beyond direct grants, the work created multiplier effects: a small grant for essential supplies sparked community giving that continues today; seed funding for youth meals during school holidays attracted other donors and supported nearly 8,000 young people with 49,000 meals.
Current focus
ajaz.org continues to evolve its work in service to others. Recent commitments include:

The Ajaz Ahmed Entrepreneurial Fellowship at the University of Bath providing students with the resources, guidance, and belief they need to transform ideas into impact and lead meaningful change.

Your Voice, Your Future: Understanding Politics & Leadership with a high-impact work experience programme hosted inside the Houses of Parliament, offering young people firsthand insight into how democracy works while developing essential workplace skills.
Philosophy
The work of ajaz.org is guided by the principle that shaped its giving from the start: there is no other, there is only us. Supporting children and families in crisis isn't charity, it's recognising that we're all connected, our shared humanity and acting on it through sustained commitment, genuine partnership, and deep respect.
As one charity leader reflected:ajaz.org has established itself as a wise giver, a good friend, and a partner who understands that the business of giving is selfless and all about the pursuit of purpose.
